Basic Job Functions:
A Lead Analyst of FP&A provides financial leadership, with oversight to at least one function / line of business. The role may lead the completion of a range of advanced analysis and develop processes for new value added insights including: operational and strategic business case modeling, corporate development, or M&A activities. The role requires effective business partnering on initiatives to drive lower cost and improve financial performance. The role does not have direct reports but is accountable for coaching peers on financial skills.
Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics or related field, required
  • MBA or Master’s degree in finance related field, preferred
  • 5+ years industry experience with renewable energy, manufacturing, and / or technology companies, preferred
  • Experience working with international teams, preferred.
  • Demonstrated history of agility in a fast paced and high growth environment
  • Experience preparing and/or presenting long-range plans, annual budgets, short-term plans, operational metrics, and monthly rolling forecasts for executive management; and
  • Experience developing business and financial processes.

Required Skills/Competencies:

  • Ability to perform analysis by assimilating multiple sources of information from global constituents and applying experience, judgment and logical reasoning in an ambiguous, changing, and fast-paced environment
  • Possess an in-depth understanding of concepts and principles within own discipline
  • Solid oral and written communication with a proven ability to distill information for its intended audience
  • Ability to operate effectively within a global multi-cultural organization.
  • Efficient at performing and reviewing analysis, spotting errors, and teaching others to review while establishing high quality standards of performance and identifying opportunities to provide value-added analysis beyond basic actuals, forecasts, budgets, and report
  • Familiarity with enterprise resource management and finance systems
  • Proficient use of all Microsoft Office suite programs

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Provides business partnering or process ownership for at least one covered business line or department while possessing an ability to identify and succinctly communicate financial opportunities / threats to the operating and financial performance of the company;
  • Support the development of the Company’s long term and short term financial projections, department budgets, cash flow projections, and any operational or strategic initiatives to maximize profitability and/or enable cost reduction initiatives
  • Develop models or processes for evaluating complex operational or strategic decisions
  • Drive ongoing continuous improvement initiatives that enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of our business processes to enable cost effective decision making with credible information.
  • Prepare and finalize advanced level presentations for internal and/or external use, including but not limited to, creation of PowerPoint slides and use of data visualization software.

Reporting Relationships:

  • Reports to the Manager, FP&A or Senior Manager, FP&A
  • Role does not have direct reports, but is expected to mentor junior analysts

Travel:
U.S. and international travel of typically not to exceed 10% of time, required

  • $106,000 - $140,000 Estimated Annual Salary
