Back to Nature Landscaping is a successful and BUSY landscape Install and Maintenance contractor who has been helping employees build a better life in Blacksburg, VA and the New River Valley for over 8 years. We provide many landscaping services from mowing to hardscaping.

Day in the life of a Lawn Care Specialist:

• Meeting with the Maintenance Director/Project Manager every morning to go over tasks and goals for the day and week.
• Loading your truck as needed with material and machinery.
• Interacting with clients as needed on each property.
• Speaking with clients intellectually about what is being applied to property and how it will benefit their turf.
• Upselling and additional treatments as desired or needed by clients.
• Application of materials to scheduled properties.
• Measuring properties as needed for new clients.
• Managing and tracking material on truck.
• Performing tasks set up by yourself and by the Maintenance Director/Project Manager.
• End of day clean up and load / unload for the next day at our shop.

Requirements:

• Has Drivers License
• Self Motivated - Can work productively by yourself
• Has basic understanding of measurement conversions
• Wants to learn the proper safety and application techniques
• Has or wants to learn operation and calibration of Turf Care Equipment such as:
• Hand Spreaders
• Push Spreaders
• Backpack Sprayers
• Hose and Reel Sprayers
• Has a desire to learn a niche side of the industry
• Has interest in client relations
• Has an interest in sales
• Would like to help us grow this side of our company
• Willing to perform Snow and Ice Removal as necessary
• Has basic knowledge of smartphone usage ( Time Capture and Material Capture via Cell Phone )

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
