Prominent boutique litigation Law Firm in midtown New York City seeks a hybrid part time (or full time with additional responsibilities) Billing Coordinator to handle insurance e-billing, receivables and collections. Prior experience with legal billing software and proficiency with insurance e-billing procedures is required.
Primary Responsibilities include:
· Billing, Receivables and Collections.
· Review Accounts Receivable daily and follow up on delinquent accounts.
· Prepare appeals for rejected invoices and troubleshoot to resolve any issues.
· Liaison with insurance companies.
· Prepare online billing budgets when required by clients.
· Report to the Controller, Office Manager and Managing Partner.
Qualifications:
· Prior Law Firm experience.
· Working knowledge of Legal Electronic Data Exchange Standard (LEDES) formats and e-billing.
· Strong verbal and written communication skills.
· Strong organization and time-management skills.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
· High Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Google Docs.
Hourly Salary:
$30- to $40- hourly, based on experience, plus excellent benefits and a discretionary bonus.
Salary is negotiable if a full time position is desired.
