Laundry Worker

• High School diploma or G.E.D. preferred
• Possession of valid driver's license and insurable driving record
• Communicate well with others including staff and our individuals

Essential Functions:

• Maintains current knowledge of safety, sanitation, and infection control guidelines within the organization and follows accordingly.
• Operates washers and dryers according to operating instructions.
• Removes lint from dryer filters.
• Measures and utilizes any chemicals used appropriately.
• Understand proper usage of equipment to perform tasks and to clean and maintain equipment to ensure proper working order.
• Sorts, weighs and documents weight of all clothing and linens prior to laundering.
• Folds, sorts, and places laundered items in designated areas.
• Transports soiled and clean clothing and linens, following guidelines, to and from laundry.
