SUMMARY: The Laundry Attendant is responsible for folding, ironing, sorting, and maintaining the proper storage of all Hotel items.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Sort and prepare linen for further processing.
- Load and unload dryers and washed linens.
- Feed linen through appropriate machinery ensuring maximum quality control and productivity is achieved.
- Ensure laundry room is kept clean at all times.
- Report to supervisor any maintenance defects or safety hazards.
- Maintain and control all linen stock for inventory.

- Ability to be on feet for long periods, ability to lift/push/pull 35+ lbs.

- Must have excellent interpersonal skills and meet or exceed guests and team expectations and standards.
- Must meet grooming standards.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- High school. Diploma, or general education degree (GED); any combination of education, training, or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
- Prior hospitality experience preferred
LANGUAGE SKILLS
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
- Ability to add and subtract double digit numbers.
- Ability to perform operations using units of measurement, volume, and distance.
REASONING ABILITY
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simply one or two step instructions
- Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
