Form of workMeta is looking for an experienced and motivated Launch Manager to join the Product Data Operations (PDO) team. PDO provides data and insights that power machine learning and AI, at the core of all Meta products. As a Launch Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving the success of GenAI and Machine Learning programs by providing technical guidance, overseeing launch execution, and providing strategic direction.. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including researchers, engineers, and product managers, to ensure the efficient execution of GenAI and Machine Learning labeling and data collection program launches. - Own technical requirements gathering for GenAI and Machine Learning labeling and collections programs to ensure timely and effective outcomes
- Standardize and scale PDO’s program launch process through automation, optimization, and innovation
- Cross-Functional Collaboration – Collaborate closely with tooling and engineering to configure programs in line with product team needs and develop requirements for new tooling feature needs
- Project Management – develop and launch projects for a large team of FTE/CWs/Vendors and ensure projects are completed with urgency and to quality
- Risk and Issue Management – Identify program risks, triage technical issues, and develop mitigation plans. Proactively manage risks to ensure successful program delivery
- Stakeholder Communication – Communicate program status, risks, and opportunities to leadership and stakeholders. Provide regular updates on program progress and KPIs
- Proactive problem solving, breaking down ambiguous issues into component parts to develop solutions
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a directly related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 8+ years in consulting, operations, or technical program management
- 2+ years of experience with SQL
- Proven experience in program management, with a track record of successfully delivering complex programs
- Experience prioritizing and ensuring key initiatives move forward, managing multiple cross-functional stakeholders, and working with urgency
- Executive presence and experience using data to influence senior leadership
- Critical thinking/analytical leadership experience
- Proven team player adaptable to a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of artificial intelligence, machine learning, and deep learning technologies
- Masters Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field
- Scripting and issue triage experience
- Proven track record of successfully delivering large-scale programs on time and within budget
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the experience to interact effectively with cross-functional teams and senior leadership
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Experience in AI, machine learning, or related fields is a plus
- Experience with program management tools and software
