Latam Fx Technology Lead

This role is for a Technology Lead to help drive the FX Technology strategic initiatives in the region. FX is a very critical franchise in the region, and this person will be working with technology and business stakeholders globally, regionally and locally, to support the business critical, regulatory, mandatory and engineering initiatives. This individual will deliver innovative Risk Management, pricing, execution and reporting capabilities for traders & sales.

• Work with senior business and technology stakeholders in the region to manage priorities and address conflicting requirements
• Effectively manage all technology components on multiple complex projects / programs throughout their lifecycle, managing BOW and presenting to senior business heads in the region.
• Manage multiple teams of professionals, both in direct and matrix management capability, to accomplish established goals and conduct personnel duties for team (e.g. performance evaluations, hiring and disciplinary actions)
• Provide technical direction, project estimates, resource plans and strategic decisions as a technical expert in all development and implementation phases, providing in-depth and sophisticated analyses to define problems and develop innovative solutions, demonstrating strong technical knowledge
• Conduct management activities, including resource management, work allocation, mentoring/coaching and other duties and functions as needed
• Influence and negotiate with Senior Tech Global LOB to get support on BOW and region requests

Job Responsibilities / Role:

• Responsible for end-to-end leadership of all FX related initiatives in the LATAM region, mainly for the rollout of strategic platforms.
• Act as the single point of contact and trusted partner, both to the technology organization and business community
• Working with the business stakeholders on prioritization, solution design, requirement analysis and acting as a liaison between the business users and technology developers
• Build and Develop SME/BA team based in New York
• Align to the global mandates, initiatives, and regulations, as well as attending the regional/local needs.
• Providing Technology Leadership to the development team members and managing day-to-day project activities
• Participate in key strategic horizontal initiatives (like Engineering Excellence, innovation, etc)

Knowledge/Experience:

• Required: at least 10-15 years' experience working in the financial industry, with preferably 6+ years FX Technology experience
• Required: 10+ years of experience in application development.
• Good all-round skill and technical expertise on key technology components
• Required: Strong grasp of fundamental computer science concepts: data structures, algorithms, concurrency, and object oriented design
• Required: Bachelor degree in computer science or related fields.
• Relevant experience with trade capture and processing.

Technical Skills Required:

• Proficient in enterprise level application development in Java, HTML5, Oracle based technology environment
• Experience working with FIX protocol, Web Services and middleware such as Tibco EMS, Tibco RV, Solace.
• Hands on experience of development, build & testing tools - Bitbucket, GitHub, SonarQube, Gradle
• Experience with automated testing framework
• Real-time high frequency, low latency trading work would be a desired
