Job Description
- Safely and properly run CO2 Laser using proper beam alignment procedures.
- Monitor and maintain lens to lengthen lifespan.
- Redirect beam focal point and understand its relation to material type and thickness.
- Maintain work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follow prescribed safety procedures.
- Perform inspection of lasered products.
- Complete and maintain paperwork for parts, logging accurate record keeping information.
- Read and interpret drawings, follow routers, use simple math to perform basic calculations, and use measuring tools.
- Troubleshoot poor cut quality and adjust machine settings to maintain optimal cut quality on all materials.
- High school diploma or graduation from certified technical school.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience running CO2 Laser, preferably late model Amada with knowledge of machine settings and beam focal point.
- Familiarity with beam alignment procedure and CNC programs.
- 4 Basic understanding of assist gas.
- Basic familiarity with hand, power, and measurement tools.
- Understand different material types and gauges.
- Previous forklift driving experience.
