The Laser Operator is responsible for handling laser cut parts in the manufacturing group. Primary responsibilities of this position include receiving work orders and/or blueprints, running parts through the laser equipment to the required specifications, and performing Quality Checks (QC) on parts to ensure they meet blueprint requirements.  Another key responsibility is to monitor machine cutting performance and utilization. 

What you will do

• Accomplish daily work goals and activities on production within the Laser Segment.
• Setup and run all production through activities via Lasers.  
• When needed this position will run deburring equipment; Steelmaster, Timesavers, Fladder, and Grinding equipment.
• Ensure all manufacturing orders are run according to proper priorities and company needs.
• Work with the other manufacturing groups to ensure parts meet order due dates and quality expectations.
• Track and deliver manufacturing orders to proper destination according to Sequence of Operations (SOO).
• Participate in continuous improvement activities; such as, improving processes and procedures via Work Shops and by utilizing the ITW Toolbox.
• Other duties as required.

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Advanced knowledge of tape measure/calipers
• Experience in manufacturing/ Fabrication Shop environment
• Strong attention to detail
• Can perform Quality Checks (QC) for own parts in comparison to blueprint specifications
• Mechanical minded person.
• Multitasking capability with ability to identificy and execute priority tasks.
• 1+ years of manufacturing experience 

Physical Demands:

• Capable of lifting 35 lbs.
• Capable of bending and twisting
• The ability to stand or walk for an entire 8 hour shift
