We are currently seeking a Large Format Press Operator at our Indiana Print ShopLarge Format printing department.
The operator will be responsible for the day-to-day print production and maintenance of the printers. The position requires a person who is very organized and great at prioritizing, organizing, and planning in order to see each job through completion and be able to meet given deadlines.
Requirements:
- Read and understand job tickets to ensure production is produced according to specification.
- Perform quality checks according to established procedures to ensure high quality of production.
- Monitor printer efficiencies & speed to ensure production levels meet or exceed standards & make appropriate adjustments.
- Must have the ability to maintain organization with multiple projects, prioritize workflow, adhere to timelines, and meet deadlines.
- Maintain printer and inventory supplies as needed.
- Must be prompt, courteous, professional and take pride in work.
- Work in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Responsible for the overall safety and cleanliness of equipment and area.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Key Skills:
- Ability to set up and operate various roll to roll printers.
- Working knowledge of current RIP software Caldera a plus.
- A strong attention to detail along with a sharp focus on quality.
- Ability to work independently and with minimum supervision.
- Hardworking, assertive, and the ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to communicate effectively with other employees.
- Ability to react quickly and make continuous adjustments to provide top quality prints.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Experience:
- Minimum of two years of digital printing industry experience a plus
- Willing to learn, we will train!
- High School Diploma
