We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Receptionist to join our team. As a Veterinary Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for our clients and their pets. Your primary responsibility will be to provide exceptional customer service and ensure a positive experience for both clients and their furry companions.
```Duties:```
- Greet clients and their pets with a warm and friendly demeanor
- Schedule appointments and manage the appointment calendar
- Answer phone calls, emails, and other inquiries from clients
- Obtain and update client information in our database
- Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians with various tasks as needed
- Handle cash transactions, process payments, and maintain accurate financial records
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area
```Experience:```
To be successful in this role, you should have the following skills and qualifications:
- Knowledge of pet care, including basic grooming, feeding, and exercise needs
- Familiarity with veterinary terminology to effectively communicate with clients and staff
- Understanding of aseptic technique to maintain a clean and safe environment
- Basic knowledge of animal physiology to assist with client inquiries
- Familiarity with veterinary critical care is advantageous
- Knowledge of equine care is a plus
