Primary duties are to visit and evaluate students in their clinical environments. Maintain interaction and communication between clinical site preceptors and the College. Secondary duties are to instruct students for the Radiologic Technology program positioning and procedures labs. Also assist in patient care labs. Classes and labs are taught in the classroom located on the Hall campus - Gainesville, GA zip code 30507.
- Maintains and communicates safety practices for students in all clinical sites;
- Maintains up-to-date communications with all clinical preceptors regarding student schedules, student progress, and student competencies;
- Provides proper student counseling when needed;
- Enforces and communicates to site clinical preceptors the enforcement of program policies;
- Orients new students to his/her clinical sites;
- Visits all affiliates on a scheduled basis;
- Serves as a major public relations officer to the clinical affiliates on behalf of the program;
- Evaluates students for competency and ensures consistent competency evaluations from all affiliates;
- Other work-related duties as assigned by primary instructor.
Minimum of an Associate's Degree in Radiologic Technology AND demonstrated competencies in specific course content/coursework; OR a technical diploma in Radiologic Technology AND an Associate's degree in a health-related field AND demonstrated competencies in specific course content/coursework.
Graduate of a JRCERT accredited RADIOLOGIC TECHNOLOGY PROGRAM.
Two year's experience in diagnostic radiography.
Must have current American Registry of Radiologic Technology in Radiography [ARRT RT(R)] credentials.
Demonstrates use of appropriate teaching methods
Maintains lab and classrooms and works within the clinical competency system
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Previous teaching experience at the post-secondary level, experience with online teaching platforms.
