Language Arts Teacher - Immediate Need!

The Fletcher Academy, an independent special education school in Raleigh, NC, seeks to hire a full-time teacher for the remainder of the 2024 academic year and beyond. This position is responsible for teaching 4 high school literature classes of various levels, plus one speech & debate class.

A bachelor's or master's degree in education is required. Special education certification or experience is a plus, but not required. A solid ability to effectively differentiate instruction is a must.

Fletcher is a small school with a very favorable average student to teacher ratio, offering very small class sizes of between 6 and 8 students. We DO NOT specialize in serving students with behavior disorders; instead, our students struggle with a host of learning differences, including ADHD, dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia, and other learning challenges.
