Responsible for maintaining the grounds of the club and residential homes. Responsibilities may include weeding (chemical and manual), lawn mowing, string trimming, edging, mulching, pruning, and raking. This position is key to maintaining a magnificent visual appeal to our members.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain landscapes throughout golf course, club amenities, residential homes and common areas to include but not limited to weeding, lawn mowing, and string trimming, edging, mulching, fertilizing, pruning, and raking.
- Install new landscape plantings and annual color (spring and fall) at residential homes, on the golf course, and around the club.
- Water and maintain new plantings as well as annual plantings.
- Participate in leaf removal during dormant seasons, as needed, throughout property.
- Basic knowledge of proper chemical and fertilizer applications to maintain a healthy and aesthetically pleasing landscape.
- Safe operation of all hand tools, large and small equipment such as push mowers, zero turn mowers, skid steer, tractors and mini-excavator.
- Keep all work areas orderly and neat.
- Assist with landscape projects as requested.
- Participate in daily set-up/closing of the departments’ tools and equipment.
- Report any safety or maintenance issues immediately to the Landscape Manager/Horticulturist.
- Attend department meetings and trainings as necessary.
- Any other duties as assigned.

Skills and Qualifications
- Ability to operate landscape machinery such as push rotary mowers, string trimmers, backpack blowers, utility vehicles, and riding mowers.
- Possess a valid driver’s license and ability to operate vehicles properly and safely.
- Plant knowledge/Horticultural Practices knowledge a plus.
- Ability to follow oral and written directions in English.
- Ability to work in a team environment and operate in a safe, professional manner at all times.
- Ability to stay calm and focused during the busiest of times.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the position including, but not limited to, working outdoors in all weather conditions, standing, walking, and moving for periods of greater than eight (8) hours, and lifting and carrying items sometimes greater than fifty (50) pounds.
- Ability to learn and navigate the property to complete assigned job tasks.
