Landscape Technician

Wellman's Landvision is Hiring Full Time/Part Time Experienced and/or Non-Experienced Landscape Technician, Lawn Applicator, and/or Snow Removal Operators. Pesticide License/Registered Technician is a bonus.

This is for year-round employment or 3/4 time (Spring, Summer, & Fall -April thru November)

We have a flexible work schedule to accommodate those pursing a post-secondary education.

Also, if you are working an existing job with a rotation of 2-4 days off and on then this is an excellent opportunity to work with us due to our flexibility and job scheduling.

This is an excellent opportunity for a responsible individual who likes to be outdoors and who has an interest in the landscaping industry.

Pay rate depends on education, experience, personal character, and abilities: $40,000 - $60,000 per year.

Applicant must have the following:

3. Valid driver's license and a clean driving record for the past 3 years.

4. High School Diploma or GED. (Additional degrees/certificates may increase pay rate)

5. Personality traits of being meticulous, conscientious, and a sense of urgency.

6. Desire to learn and ask questions.

Applicant will be exposed to the following operations with opportunities to advance and receive additional increases in pay:

1. Zero turn mower operations, maintenance, and repair.

2. Landscape installation and maintenance.

3. Hardscape installation and maintenance.

4. Weed control and fertilization applications.

5. Lawn installations.

6. General site layout to solve drainage issues.

7. General construction site layout.

8. Snow removal and salt applications.

9. Skid steers and tractors with associated attachments

10. Numerous gas powered landscape and snow removal equipment.

11. Truck and trailer combinations with loading, transporting, and unloading.

12. General equipment maintenance and repair.

Individual will be performing all of these tasks versus doing the same thing every day.

Work days and hours are flexible depending on desired time off. Work hours are 2-6 days per week 8-10 hours per day during the spring, summer, and fall. Winter hours are a combination of on call and regular work days. Per Federal and Indiana State Law you are eligible for overtime pay and you will be fully protected by Workers Compensation Insurance.

Must be able to work in a team environment with a pleasant personality.
