Requirements:We'd love to hear from you if you have the following:
- Must be a self-starter capable of multi-tasking and have a working understanding of landscape projects and terminology.
- Must be fluent in Microsoft office, excel and word.
- Ability to manage schedules and have excellent communication skills and must have general landscape knowledge.
- Our ideal candidate should be able to assess material, labor and equipment and must be a Leader.
- Applicant must have reliable transportation and be seeking a long-term opportunity.
Schedule: M-F with occasional weekends
Pay - $80-85K per year
Primary Job Functions:
- Direct the work of supervisors and technicians within the landscape division including planning, scheduling, organizing, training, and reviewing work for the supervisors and crews.
- Responsible for staffing of landscape department with assistance of Human Resources including interviewing, selecting, training, reviewing, correcting performance, and termination as required.
- Oversee weekly or scheduled grounds keeping services to commercial accounts including lawn mowing and maintenance, bed maintenance, lot maintenance, pruning as required, and removal of litter and debris. Inspect services to ensure work performed meets customer quality standards for account retention.
- Oversee maintenance of trees and shrubbery, extra project work including landscape renovations, new plantscapes, clean up services, and pressure washing services as required.
- Promote healthy lawns and plants and monitor regularly to prevent infestations or disease.
- Monitor sprinkler systems at various properties to ensure beds and lawns are properly watered. Coordinate repairs of systems as needed.
- Maintain supply and equipment inventory for project and periodic work. Coordinate routine maintenance of operations equipment and vehicles. Maintain cleanliness and organization of warehouse and vehicles.
- Review and control labor and supply costs for routine and project work. Ensure all work within department conforms to budgetary standards and sound operational standards/quality.
- Review, approve and ensure that work tickets, supply requisitions and payroll timesheets for landscape technicians are complete and turned into Human Resources in a timely manner.
- Ensure that all programs and policies of company are being followed and make recommendations for improvement to company policies and procedures.
- Cooperate with sales efforts of the company. Selling new recurring and project work, provide bidding for various projects as needed.
- Perform other duties as directed by the Senior Operations Manager.
