Employer: High Country Hardscape & Landscape Designs, LLC, 1101 Mariaville Rd, Schenectady, NY 12306.Worksite: 659 Consalus Ave., Schenectady, NY 12306;
Duties: Responsible for landscaping and maintaining grounds and property using hand and power tools and equipment, including skid steers. Mow and maintain existing landscaping, including trimming, planting, pruning, sod laying, fertilizing, watering, digging and raking, sprinkler installation, and installation of mortar-less segmented concrete masonry wall units. Sweep walkway of debris. Cut down tree limbs, trim shrubs and pull weeds. Perform minor repairs and maintenance procedures on equipment used in groundskeeping. Work in all weather conditions. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Employer will provide daily transportation to and from job sites from designated location: 659 Consalus Ave., Schenectady, NY 12306; Travel to client sites in Saratoga, Schenectady and Rensselaer Counties of New York.
No education required, 3 months experience required.
Work hours: Monday-Friday, 6am-6pm; 60 hours/week at $19.01/hour. OT at $28.52/hour. Bonuses/raises may be paid at employer discretion based on performance, skill, tenure. Saturday work required, when necessary. Schedule and hours may vary.
Employer will assist workers with securing housing(optional), but employer will not provide housing.
A single workweek will be used to compute wages due. Workers will be paid weekly on Friday. All deductions from the worker's paycheck required by law will be made.
Post-hire random drug testing at employer's expense for all workers, both domestic and H-2B.
Employer will provide workers at no charge all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job.
H-2B workers will be reimbursed in the first workweek for all visa, visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees, including those mandated by the government (excluding passport fees).
Transportation (including meals and, to the extent necessary, lodging) to the place of employment will be provided, or its cost to workers reimbursed, if the worker completes half the employment period. Return transportation will be provided if the worker completes the employment period or is dismissed early by the employer. Daily subsistence rates are $15.46/day without receipts or up to $59/day with receipts.
