Landscape Hippie Crew Member

We're hiring Landscape Hippies!
We get dirty... and we work hard, but we have fun & really do take care of our Hippie Crew! We're not your average landscapers, and we're not lawn care or yard work folks, but we are really cool, drug-free, Landscape Hippies.

We absolutely love what we do & we treat our employees and customers like we want to be treated! We're laid back, but take our work seriously, and we endeavor to timely complete landscape projects - one at a time. We bring beauty to landscapes, flower beds and outdoor living spaces, and we're growing! The more WE grow, the more YOU can grow! We provide landscape and hardscape services as well as products (trees, shrubs, plants, dirt, mulch, amendments, nursery stock, etc.) that includes hanging baskets, pots & containers, hardscape stuff (fire pits, patios) and more. We DO NOT offer lawn care (mowing, trimming or edging lawns) or any kind of yard work.

Experience: Landscaping 1year (required); Hardscaping 1 year (preferred)
Experience: Claimed experience must be verifiable work / employment
Uniforms: We'll provide cool company shirts and other hippie gear. You provide own work shoes or boots & pants/shorts suitable for landscape work.

What our Hippies do:

• Landscaping, fire pits, paver patios, flagstone walkways, etc.
• Thinning & pruning shrubs (no hacking); landscape maintenance
• Applying mulch (bags & bulk); general landscape bed care
• Creating flower pot/container works of art (hippie style)
• Pulling weeds by hand (yes, hands and knees in the dirt)
• Installing flower bed edging (natural & stacked stone, etc.)
• Landscape installs, repairs & re-dos - HOA maintenance
• Residential landscaping; some commercial landscape work
• Role description & responsibilities is not intended to be all-inclusive, and responsibilities may change; employee may perform other related duties as assigned to meet the ongoing needs of the company

Things that Matter:

• Must be able to operate commercial landscape equipment
• Safely use skid steers, mini-excavators, trucks, power tools, etc.
• Must have solid work ethic, good attitude and punctual attendance
• Customer service and integrity, reliability & trustworthiness is valued
• Superb communication skills with managers, co-workers & customers
• Lift & carry 50-75 lbs and perform physical activities in landscaping
• Pull, push, grip and squeeze various tools, products and/or items
• Walk miles & miles a day, occasionally uphill or on uneven terrain
• Bend, kneel, stoop, squat or work on knees at various times all day
• Attention to detail (to the very last weed) Hippies get weeds!
• Work in all weather conditions (hot, cold, heat, wind, rain & mud)
• DL, transportation, insurable and safe driving record (REQUIRED)
• DOT drug screen & DOT physical required to drive (REQUIRED)
• NO DRUGS pass pre-employment & random drug screens (REQUIRED)
• Pass criminal and/or civil background check / inquiry (REQUIRED)
• Have sense of humor - laugh, work hard and have fun : )

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
