We are seeking a part-time Landscape/Groundkeeper to be responsible for all aspects of the grounds and the equipment used to maintain the appearance of a presentable ground.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assures that the grounds are well‐groomed and free of trash, debris, and hazards.
- Assures that walkways are clean and clear of hazards.
- Trims, prunes, and shapes various trees, bushes, shrubs, and plants, as directed by the supervisor.
- Responsible for snow removal efforts during the winter months. Maintains outside water lines and equipment, as necessary.
Other Duties:
- Maintains the appearance of outdoor signs, parking lot lines, center road lines and direction‐ of‐travel indicators. Maintains all mowers, snow blowers, and other outdoor vehicles and equipment.
Qualifications:
- Nursery schooling background preferred.
- 3 years hands on experience in landscape maintenance.
- Greenskeeper experience a plus.
- Ability to safely use hand and power landscaping tools and equipment.
- Ability to cut golf greens, dig, plant trees/scrubs, prune and maintain curb appeal of property.
- Ability to monitor and supervise outside landscaping company and communicate problems or issues to supervisor.
- Ability to monitor weather conditions and lead snow/ice removal efforts to maintain sage conditions. Ability to work weekends/nights as needed.
