SalaryLandscape Construction Coordinator/Estimator
We are seeking an experienced Landscape Construction Estimator to join our growing green-industry team. The ideal candidate must possess excellent customer service and communication skills and have a proven track record of success in submitting accurate bids in a timely manner while meeting deadlines of requesting parties, meeting company expectations and goals.
The Landscape Construction Estimator will be responsible for:
- Ensuring expectations set correctly with all clients regarding a proposal.
- Accurately producing estimates, designs and proposals on time, within deadlines.
- Assisting the Construction Department to reach its sales goal.
- Learning current statistics for average job size, win rate and dollars required to be bid per week, per year and execute to sales goal.
- Achieving gross profit according to the Construction Department Budget.
- Leading and understanding the business philosophy and influence others towards the team’s goals.
- Producing high-quality hand-off packages for production that results in the work being produced as it was sold to the customer while reducing the amount of time the sales team must spend involved with production.
- Ensuring specialty materials are ordered prior to handoff and on-site when needed at correct price.
- Ensuring handoff meetings are performed timely to set crew leaders up for success.
- Managing construction files, photos, plans, proposals, etc., so they can be retrieved as needed.
- Developing and improving estimating templates to improve efficiency and accuracy of bids.
- Maintaining client and important vendor relationships
- Ensuring completion of accurate and timely paperwork.
- Participating when needed in the collection of overdue invoices
- Playing a lead role in the company snow operation.
Skills:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities
- Proven track record in business development, sales and/or proposal/estimating process.
- Ability to build relationships with clients and vendors
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings and specifications
- Self-motivated and results-oriented
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite & G Suite
- Experience with construction estimating software helpful
- Experience with ERP software desired
