JOB TITLE:Land Surveyor
LOCATION: Fargo, ND | Grand Forks, ND

LEVEL OF TRAVEL REQUIRED: Moderate (Approximately 30%-40%)
Land Surveyor
As a Land Surveyor, you will be required to complete survey work on a variety of civil and environmental engineering projects. Specific responsibilities associated with the position include:
- Perform survey tasks including topographic surveys, boundary surveys, construction surveys, sub-surface utility surveys, benchmarking, and post-construction surveys, plats
- Perform ALTA/NSPS land title surveys
- Provide construction staking for site layout, site design, facilities, structures, roadways, paving, grading, ditches, drainage features, etc.
- Assist in the development of construction drawings and record drawings
- Work closely with project managers, design engineers, and CAD technicians to coordinate space configuration changes and other design changes
- Perform in-process quality control of survey field activities and survey calculations
- Prepare survey field notes and field sketches
- Sign and seal surveys, maps, and survey related documents
- Work effectively with team members across various geographies
QUALIFICATIONS
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Associates Degree in Engineering Technology or Land Surveying
- Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) licensed in the State of North Dakota or the ability to obtain in 12 months
- 3 years of work experience as a land or civil surveyor
- Proficient with operating GPS, robotic and total station survey equipment
- Demonstrated experience with survey data collection and data organization
- Demonstrated experience with importing survey data into AutoCAD
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD
- Ability to work in teams or as an individual
- Positive attitude and motivated work ethic
Preferred Qualifications and Skills
- Experience working on civil, water, wastewater, and water resources projects
- Working knowledge of Civil3D
- Working knowledge of Microstation/GeoPak
- Working knowledge of ArcGIS Pro
- Basic understanding of GIS datasets, geodatabases, and map layers
- Basic understanding of drones & unmanned aerial vehicles
