Site work is defined as storm sewers, sanitary sewers, waterline, earthwork, and lime stabilization. Alan Weihe founded his development company and began developing the Wellington communities in Noblesville, IN. He continued developing the Wellington communities and three other developments until the completion of the last community in 1991. Job Summary
Evaluating blueprints, setting control and calibrating job sites, maintaining GPS and conventional survey equipment, site layout, and field/office support.
- Overseeing and maintaining Trimble & Topcon GPS Systems on heavy equipment (dozers, motor grader, scrapers)
- Setting up flash drives, manually measuring grades, etc.
- Flying drones for Topographical surveys
- Set-up and tear-down of GPS Base Stations and heavy equipment masts
- Conduct land surveys using various surveying equipment and techniques
- Prepare maps, reports, and legal descriptions of survey results
- Provide expert advice to clients on property boundaries, easements, and other land-related issues
- Collaborate with other professionals, such as engineers and architects, to ensure accurate survey results
- Maintain accurate records of survey data and prepare survey reports
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and standards
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in land surveying
- Proficient in the use of surveying equipment and software
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Background Check:
- Qualified candidates will pass a criminal background check, have no OWI's within previous 7-years, undergo a pre-employment drug screen, and provide additional references as-needed.
Physical Requirements:
The Land Surveyor position can be physically demanding and requires varying levels of physical fitness to perform essential job duties. This position requires employees to work on their feet on average 10 hours per day. The categories of physical requirements to perform the essential job duties of a Land Surveyor include lifting, lowering, carrying, pushing, and pulling.
Candidates must be able to regularly lift & lower on average 0-25lbs, maximum 75lbs. Additionally, candidates must be able to carry on average 0-40lbs, maximum 75lbs for an average distance of 5-40ft, maximum 100ft. Finally, candidates must be able to push & pull up and down on average 0-160lbf, maximum 160lbf and bilaterally on average 0-40lbf, maximum 40lbf.

Monday-Friday 7:00AM-5:00PM, Additional hours as needed
