Summary
This position involves assisting senior land staff in the administration and documentation related to the lease or purchase of property for renewable energy facilities to support the Company’s wind, solar and battery storage businesses. Create procedures (or learn internal tracking software) to track all real estate deliverables and keep trackers for each project for easy access by real estate team.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the distribution of leases, memorandums of lease, amendments, tax equity agreements, consents, assignments, subordinations and other transactional documents related to the lease or purchase of property entering and validating data in land management software.
- Enter vesting documents, legal descriptions, title commitments and surveys in the appropriate land management software as needed.
- Complete Altamps entries and other Data Entry for land managers
- Process invoices from numerous vendors for payment upon approval of land managers
- Receive and match signed signature pages from landowners with their appropriate leases
- Assist legal department with getting initial leases/purchase agreements sent in a timely manner after being reviewed by land managers
- Coordinate the recordation of real estate documentation and keep detailed records of recording process (ie: When sent in when returned)
- Ability to learn and use multiple software packages such as Altamps, SAP, Sharepoint, Power BI and more
- Work with senior land managers to complete goals daily such as “To do” lists on active deals
- Create checklists of activities needed to be completed for each project and eventually be able to take some activities over with a record to be reviewed by land managers
- Collaborate with title companies and county offices
- Initial contact with new communities we are going into with chamber of commerce, local leaders and others to set up meetings for us to attend when we go to community.
- Frequently check on how much budget is left on each contractor’s bid and make us aware when change orders are needed.
- Track option payments and help verify all are scheduled for payment and completion of payments
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Degree-educated preferred
- Previous experience in the real estate or renewables industry is beneficial
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and appropriate computer software with the ability to learn and master new programs.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking skills
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Professional phone etiquette
- Understands the importance of confidentiality and a high degree of integrity
