Job Title: Director of Housekeeping

Summary:
Manages housekeeping functions and staff to ensure property guest rooms are clean and well maintained. Directs and works with team to successfully execute all housekeeping operations. Strives to continually improve guest and employee satisfaction and maximize the financial performance of the department. Ensures that standards and procedures are being followed.
What will I be doing?
Responsible for the overall management of the entire housekeeping department to include room turn times, customer service scores and profitability.
Manages a base of 50+ employees.
Key interface between client property senior management and The Service Companies Senior Management
Uphold the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and conduct Publicly recognizes and rewards employees.
Follows and teaches all required safety and standard operating procedures.
Adheres to all company and regulatory policies. Reports any wrongdoing to corporate headquarters in Miami, Florida.
What are we looking for?
5-8 years of progressive experience in a hotel or a related field.
Working knowledge of labor management scheduling procedures and systems
Working ability to lead and train a diverse team of employees
Demonstrated analytical problem solving, planning, forecasting, and implementation abilities
Experience leading a team of leaders and hourly employees
Basic management skills: Conflict resolution, development, team building, coaching, etc.
Ability to work flexible hours: Nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
Ability to lift at least 30 pounds regularly
Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time
Ability to tolerate exposure to caustic chemicals
Computer Skills
Ability to interpret and perform intermediate computer functions.
Must be proficient in Microsoft office, Outlook, Teams, Word, and Excel.
