Description
Job Summary:Collaborating with Education Consultants and managers to develop, design, deliver, and evaluate education strategies and special projects based on clients' goals and organizational objectives. Implementing education programs to meet regulatory requirements and organizational needs.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Developing, coordinating, and evaluating programs to meet specific needs and regulatory requirements.
- Designing and coordinating activities for continuous professional education for staff.
- Collaborating on special projects for professional development and learning.
- Communicating and promoting education programs to a diverse audience using effective methods.
- Participating in classroom instruction for various projects.
- Providing recommendations on cost-effective strategies and serving as an expert resource for defining and achieving educational and clinical outcomes.
- Establishing and enhancing orientation, cross-training, and competency processes for clinical staff.
- Adapting to industry changes and providing necessary training and development to enhance organizational performance.
- Ensuring compliance and maintaining accurate documentation based on regulatory standards.
Basic Qualifications:
Experience
· Minimum of two (2) years of teaching experience or in-service education in a clinical area.
Education
· Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
· High School Diploma or GED.
License, Certification, Registration
· California Registered Nurse License.
· IBCLC Certificate within 12 months of hire.
Additional Requirements:
· Experience in breast-feeding education and postpartum care.
· Knowledge of Standards of Care related to breast-feeding.
· Proficiency in adult learning principles.
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
· Computer literacy.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Master's Degree is a plus.
· BLS instructor certification.
· Certified Lactation Educator.
· Bilingual skills.
· Proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Notes:
· Home base at Otay Mesa Pediatrics department.
· Some travel to Vandever Pediatrics may be required.
