Associated Terminals is seeking both entry-level and experienced Laborers to join our dedicated team of stevedores. We pride ourselves on creating a safe, friendly, and family-oriented atmosphere. As a Laborer, you will play a crucial role in the loading and unloading of vessels and the movement of grain and grain by-products. This position operates in a marine environment and requires working in all weather conditions. Rotational shift work is a requirement of the role.
Responsibilities
- Handle grain and grain by-products within the vessels
- Inspect cables and various rigging components of the equipment
- Perform minor maintenance on equipment and machinery
- Provide directional signals to crane operators (Flagging)
- Lubricate all equipment
- Perform general rigging tasks
- Maintain cleanliness and safety standards in decks, warehouse, and ship holds
- Ensure all walking areas are clear of trip hazards and dangerous materials
- Clean excess oil/grease from equipment and work area
- Move cargoes throughout the terminal facility
- Fuel equipment as necessary
- Work with hand tools (shovels, sledgehammers, wrenches, screwdrivers, etc)
- Report all incidents through company’s reporting protocol
- Support company safety initiatives
- Demonstrate knowledge of all required competencies
Qualifications
- Ability to work in a team environment

- Comfortable with moderate to high noise levels
- Willingness to work rotational shifts

Work Environment
- The incumbent will work in all weather conditions and at different elevations. Noice levels may require hearing protection. The job site will contain light to heavy equipment vehicles, small to large equipment, materials, communication equipment, and tools. Rotation shift is required.
