Laboratory Technician

Job Responsibilities

- Conduct testing and analysis of samples from production to assess the quality and consistency of our recycled materials, using laboratory equipment and procedures.

- Make accurate and timely recordings of test results, maintaining detailed records of all testing activities and observations for reference and analysis.

- Monitor all aspects of production processes to identify and prevent potential contaminations or flaws that could affect product quality, taking corrective actions as needed.

- Organize labeling and paperwork associated with sample testing and analysis, ensuring that all documentation is accurate, complete, and up-to-date.

- Provide prompt test results to production and quality control teams to facilitate real-time decision-making and ensure transparency in production processes.

- Use critical thinking and troubleshooting skills to identify root causes of quality issues and recommend appropriate adjustments or corrective actions.

- Utilize mathematical calculations and statistical analysis to interpret test results and identify trends or patterns that may impact product quality or performance.

- Demonstrate effective computer skills to input, analyze, and report test data using laboratory information management systems (LIMS) or other software applications.

Job Skills & Qualifications

Required:

- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in conducting tests and recording data

- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills

- Proficiency in using laboratory equipment and techniques for testing and analysis

- Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

Preferred:

- Bachelor's degree in chemistry, biology, or a related scientific field

- Previous experience working in a laboratory or quality control environment

- Knowledge of quality assurance principles and regulatory requirements in the manufacturing industry

- Forklift driving skills or willingness to obtain certification
