Laboratory Technician (Cannabis)

A rapidly growing ISO accredited laboratory in the San Fernando Valley is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented, and energetic individual to join our professional laboratory staff. You will be part of an exciting new industry helping to keep cannabis safe. There is excellent growth potential for anyone willing to work hard and grow with us!

Position: The lab assistant/technician will primarily be responsible for the custody and handling of cannabis samples and following established laboratory procedures.

Duties include:

· Homogenizing cannabis samples

· Preparing cannabis samples for a variety of assays.

· Maintaining a safe, clean, and aseptic work area.

· Strictly following all safety procedures and documents.

· Completing documentation to ensure traceability.

Qualifications and skills:

· Minimum: High school diploma and interest in biological, chemical, agricultural, environmental, or related sciences from an accredited college or university plus at least 3 years of full-time practical experience

· Preferred:

o AA degree in biological, chemical, agricultural, environmental, or related sciences

o A bachelor’s degree in any field from an accredited college or university

o A bachelor’s degree in biological, chemical, agricultural, environmental, or related sciences from an accredited college or university

o A bachelor’s degree in any field from an accredited college or university

· Ability to stand for long periods

· Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook – computer literate and savvy

· Ability to provide support and training for others in a team environment

· Ability to adapt well to a changing work environment.

Schedule: Tuesday - Saturday 3:00 - 11:30 pm, Monday - Friday 3:00 - 11:30 pm

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
