Laboratory Technician 1, Per Diem - Microbiology

The Clinical Microbiology Lab is seeking to hire a Hospital Laboratory Technician I - Per Diem. Major duties include: • Processing O&P specimens • Prepare pneumocystis and fungal stains • Process Mycology/AFB blood specimens • Set-up Vitek ID/AST instrument • Inoculating microdilution MICs • Subculturing quality control organisms May convert to career. Salary Range: $42.29/hour - $42.29/hour (flat rate)

• High school diploma or equivalent (e.g. GED or HiSET). • Must be able to work weekends, holidays and other shifts as needed. • Resourceful with ability to work independently. • Knowledge of Microbiology specimen sources, preferred.
