Job Title: Support Engineer (L2)
Job Type & Location: East Hanover, NJ or Morris Plains, NJ || Long – term contract || 100% on-site
Job Overview:
Need to have a minimum of 2 years’ experience supporting a GMP environment and can lift 50 pounds.
Scope:
1. Supply 1 engineer to provide day-to-day EMS (equipment monitoring support).
2. The engineer will perform a wide variety of tasks following cGMP which will include the
following:
a. Oversee EMS service calls and in-house repairs throughout the facility and determine
necessary repair work.
b. Act as the interdepartmental liaison between the facilities team and the supported groups,
coordinating scheduling issues, resolving EMS related problems, and providing technical
support as required to all groups internal/external
c. Provide technical support for EMS during off business hours and participate in weekend
technical support.
d. Implement maintenance program and repairs including trouble shooting of equipment and
system malfunctions, insuring compliance with current good manufacturing practices
(cGMP).
e. Provide technical training and guidance to team members as a subject matter expert
(SME).
f. Monitor and operate the Building Automation System and Equipment Monitoring
System.
g. Responsible for timely execution and compliance for related PMs: support department
work order system program.
h. Perform PM work for Secondary gateways and assist compliance investigations/retrieve
missing data using secondary gateways.
i. Define facility SOPs and other appropriate procedures to ensure high reliability of
department documentation and procedures.
j. Recommend changes to area policies.
k. Work on problems of moderate scope in which analysis of situation or data requires review
of identifiable factors.
l. Act as an advisor to area supervisors: become actively involved as required to meet
schedules or resolves problems. Frequently interact with inside customers and functional peer groups and various management levels. Interaction normally requires the ability to gain the cooperation of
others, conducting presentations of technical information concerning specific
troubleshooting efforts, project/schedules etc.
n. Act independently to determine method and procedures on new assignments and may
provide guidance and oversee the activities of support personnel.
