About the role:
The Laboratory Assistant will be responsible for will be responsible for organizing and coordinating glassware in the laboratory.
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
About you:
- Wash, organize and coordinate glassware in Chemistry and Microbiology laboratory per Standard Operating Procedures.
- Clean and sanitize laboratory benches, shelves, temperature-controlled units and all surrounding areas.
- Clean and sanitize Sterility clean room suite.
- Assist in cleaning and sanitizing all other areas of the company as needed.
- Follow cGDP and cGMPs to ensure adherence to FDA, ICH and DEA government regulations.
- Work with laboratory staff as needed.
- Maintain your own in laboratory notebooks according to cGMP and internal guidelines.
- Maintain an understanding of and ensures compliance to Quality System including the manual, system procedures (cGMPs and cGDPs) and procedures as applicable to ISO 9001.
- Maintain a clean and organized laboratory workspace.
- Exercise Laboratory safety practices.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 0 to 1 years of Laboratory experience is preferred.
- Proficient verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient computer skills, specifically Microsoft Office.
- Must be able to effectively perform duties under pressures arising from large sample volumes and short turn around times.
- Ability to work independently and/or in a team environment.
- Ability to follow instruction and work in a face paced environment.
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to sit, stand, bend, push, pull, stoop and crouch up to 80% of the time while performing the duties of this position.
- Position may require the lifting of items up to 25 lb in weight.
- May require weekend rotations as needed.
