Laboratory Assistant/Technician

Responsibilities:
· Performs sample preparation for testing

· Operate laboratory instrumentation

· Assists in the collection of specimens and maintenance of laboratory data

· Assist with data review

· Assist with preparing and testing of calibrators and controls or other solutions

· Assist with scanning and creating electronic documents

· Assist with instrument maintenance

· All other duties as assigned

REQUIRED/Preferred SKILLS:

• Follow laboratory practice and laboratory safety procedures
• Reasonable knowledge and use of laboratory equipment (centrifuge, analytical balance, fume hood, etc.) and reagents
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to read, understand and follow standard operating procedures accurately on a step by step basis, including but not limited to procedure manuals, maintenance instructions, preparing solutions, and sample processing
• Accurate data entry using the Laboratory Information System, excellent record keeping, laboratory documentation, and inventory
• Ability to execute reliable, accurate, honest and independent work in the laboratory, while keeping reasonable turnaround time and work pace
• High School education or higher

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.47 - $23.45 per hour
