2. Orders and stocks supplies and materials to ensure inventory is maintained and communicate with suppliers.
3. Receives and organizes mail of lab supplies.
4. Assists with the minor maintenance of lab equipment.
5. Monitors and directs the activities of students and employees to ensure that standard policies and practices are adhered to; enforces all lab safety protocols.
6. Handles, stores and disposes of chemical and biological materials.
7. Assists with the implementation of the Environmental Health and Safety procedures of the University.
8. Assists and supports students, employees, and faculty with any issues concerning the labs.
9. Assists, organizes, and manages laboratory waste disposal and waste manifests.
10. Communicates with faculty and instructors to ensure that the laboratory experience is consistent and well supported especially in terms of skills.
11. Other duties as assigned.
2. Able to work both days and/or night.
3. Ability to communicate effectively with others.
4. Ability to work cooperatively with colleagues and supervisory staff at all levels.
5. May be exposed to short, intermittent, and/or prolonged periods of sitting and/or standing in performance of job duties.
6. May be required to accomplish job duties using various types of equipment/supplies, to include but not limited to pens, pencils and computer keyboards.
