An Employment Law Firm is an employment law firm focused exclusively on representing employees. Founded in 2022, the firm currently consists of founding attorney An Employment Law Firm and paralegal Emily Howard. We are excited to announce that we are seeking to add a labor and Employment Attorney to the team.
Role Description:
This is a full-time role for a plaintiff's-side labor and Employment Attorney. We are a growing firm and this is a new position.
The successful candidate will ultimately be responsible for handling employment cases from intake through resolution. This will involve speaking with potential clients to evaluate potential cases including discrimination, sexual harassment, retaliation, FMLA violations, and wage and hour issues. The successful candidate will represent clients in pre-litigation administrative proceedings, negotiations, mediations, and all phases of litigation up to and including trial.
Qualifications:

• Must have a Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Must have an active license to practice law in the state of Ohio. Law school graduates sitting for the Ohio July 2024 bar exam will also be considered.
• Must have strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communications skills.
• Must show empathy towards clients and potential clients.
• Must demonstrate an ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload.
• Litigation experience including drafting pleadings, taking and defending depositions, and drafting motions is a plus.
• Experience with R.C. 4112, Title VII, the FMLA, and the FLSA is a plus.
• Experience with administrative proceedings before the OCRC and EEOC is a plus.
• Experience conducting negotiations and mediations is a plus.
