Lab Technician

Lab Technician – 1st Shift – Swannanoa - Up to $24.00/hr.

PrideStaff is recruiting for a Lab Technician for 1st Shift for a manufacturing/distribution company located in Swannanoa.

Job Summary: PrideStaff is looking for a meticulous Lab Technician who will be responsible for supporting the laboratory staff with the primary
goal of optimizing lab procedures and succeeding in producing reliable test results. 

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Thorough when carrying out duties, successfully
  maintain records of laboratory processes and equipment, and generate reports to submit to the relevant laboratory manager.
• Collecting, receiving, labeling, and/or analyzing samples or substances using the correct testing equipment, when
  necessary.
• Executing testing in line with standard operating procedures, recording observations, and interpreting findings.
• Recording all experimental data and test results accurately and in the specified format (written and/or electronic.)
• Ensuring that safety guidelines are adhered to at all times within the workspace.
• Maintaining daily logs and equipment record books.
• Cleaning and maintaining equipment.
• Ordering lab supplies, as needed.
• Review of production records and finished goods for accuracy and conformance.
• Completing paperwork and entering data in inventory control software based on inspections, document review,
  final release, and other processes.
• Generating reports as requested based on quality data.

Requirements and Qualifications:

• Associate degree in biology, chemistry, or a related field.
• Working knowledge of MS Office Suite and database systems.
• Ability to work autonomously and under pressure.
• Superb dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Keen attention to detail.
• Analytical skills.
• 1-3 years experience in the following testing concepts ; pH, FTIR,
• HPLC, and micro testing (preferred).
