Job Description
Position Summary:
This position is Technician for Field Assurance (FA) that will be responsible for maintaining the day-to-day activities in the Field Assurance (Complaint Handling) Lab. The associate will be responsible for contributing to the completion of complaint returned sample analysis in a timely manner. Familiarity with equipment, microscopes, biosafety laboratory practices, good laboratory practices including working in a clean room atmosphere is preferred.
Essential / Key Job Responsibilities (including supervisory and/or fiscal):
- Cleaning and disinfection of lab spaces
- Collect, record, and analyze sample analysis results data accurately
- Conduct sample analysis testing outlined in protocols
- Decontamination of complaint samples received in the Lab
- Documentation of complaint samples received for evaluation purposes
- Identify and escalate all unexpected sample analysis results to the supervisor and franchise team
- Maintain good documentation practices (GDP) when recording preliminary and sample analysis results
- Maintain good laboratory practices (GLP) consistent with biosafety laboratory practices
- Maintains a clean and safe lab work environment
- Maintains a professional working relationship with internal and external customers and support staff
- Participate in project planning, scheduling, and tracking
- Storage and disposal of complaint samples in accordance with applicable procedures
- Support continuous improvement of lab processes and test methods
- Understand and follow procedures and regulatory requirements
- Use calibrated laboratory equipment and tools
Required Qualifications:
- Ability to work in cross-functional teams
- Basic problem-solving / troubleshooting skills
- Detail-oriented
- Must have proof of Hep B series, be willing to undergo Hep B series, or sign waiver
- Must have technical writing skills
- Proficient in MS Office
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ability to read engineering drawings
- Lab Safety Skills
- OGP Flash 500 Smartscope experience
- Oral and written presentation skills
- Perform testing per written directions
Education and/or Experience:
Associate degree in technical studies, science, math, or engineering optional
Medical industry (GMP) and/or lab experience preferred
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use sight, and use hands to manipulate, handle or feel objects, tools, controls, and office equipment. The employee frequently is required to verbally communicate with other associates. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel or crouch.
