ResponsibilitiesThis position performs pre-analytical processing of patient samples based on established laboratory procedures. In addition, this position communicates pertinent laboratory information to healthcare providers including patient test results or established laboratory practices.

QualificationsThis job requires a High School Diploma or GED. This job requires the ability to handle multiple tasks in a high stress environment, the ability to work quickly and with accuracy, the ability to work independently, excellent communication skills, computer skills, a working knowledge of science and the medical discipline. A working knowledge of specimen collection, and handling requirements for all assays performed at VMMC. Working knowledge of Biosafety Level 2 protocols. The ability to work as a member of a team.
