Location/Division Specific Information
St. Louis, MO / Drug Substance Division - The Drug Substance Division is one of the five divisions that make up the Pharma Services Group. We specialize in both small and large molecule development and commercial drug substance services. This allows us to serve the needs of Small/Emerging, Mid-Sized, and Large Pharma sectors globally.
Discover Impactful Work:
The candidate will participate in the performance of operations in support of the BPS Process Development Team. You will carry out a variety of functions related to Process Development operations. These functions may include but are not limited to activities such as, supply stocking and organization, and equipment maintenance including basic troubleshooting, cleaning, and preventative maintenance on supporting equipment.
A day in the Life:
- Able to complete Department functions, such as maintaining lab supplies, equipment, logbooks and data in accordance with site SOPs and policies.
- Forecast and resolve supply and raw material deficiencies.
- Identify and resolve scheduling clashes with one week outlook.
- Complete preventative maintenance tasks on time.
- Perform equipment testing and routine troubleshooting.
- Coordinate material shipment logistics and storage both internally and externally.
- Perform material cycle counts on routine schedule.
- Coordinate and perform timely consumption of materials and completion of quality documentation in appropriate systems.
- Participate in 1-1's, meetings, attend meetings as required to facilitate area needs based on changes, etc. (lean activities).
Keys to Success:
Education
- High school diploma or GED required along with 4 years relevant laboratory and supply chain experience.
- Associate's degree in science field with 2 years relevant laboratory / supply chain experience, or Bachelor's degree in science or engineering field preferred but not required.
Experience
- Combination of education and experience in a related field or industry required.
- Experience in cGLP environment preferred but not required.
- Basic computer skills; Microsoft office.
Physical Requirements / Work Environment
- Must be able to lift 40 lbs.
- Normal laboratory/office environment.
- Position may require frequent communication and walking to other areas in which designated PPE will be required.
- Position will require sitting and standing.
