- Employee must be able to effectively communicate verbally and in writing with supervisor(s) about technical details, questions and ideas in English
- Employee must report to supervisor about observed and reported machine & technical problems in a timely manner.
- Employee must understand workflow concept of entire lab.
- Employee must be able to operate all surfacing equipment unsupervised to include but not limited to air compressors, blockers, polishers, generators, engravers, non-dip backside coaters & Microsoft windows-based computers.
- Employee must be able to calibrate and put into operation above listed equipment unsupervised.
- Employee must be able to perform basic troubleshooting and simple repairs unsupervised on all above listed equipment and other equipment and devices as needed.
- Employee must be able to perform routine, scheduled and emergency maintenance under supervision on all above listed equipment and other equipment and devices as needed.
- Employee will perform additional tasks and duties as assigned by supervisor to include but not limited to: cleaning, trash removal, general electrical- plumbing –mechanical tasks as needed.
- Employee will be able to understand and use technical documentation such as parts lists, maintenance guides and exploded drawings.
- Employee will maintain lines of communication with supervisor such as valid email and current phone number.
- Employee will comply with reasonable overtime requests as necessary.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 1 year experience within the Optical Lab or technical or manufacturing environment as determined relevant by management.
- Prior experience in a technical or manufacturing maintenance environment.
