As a Lab Associate, your primary responsibilities include assisting in the overseeing of the daily operations of the laboratories, ensuring the safety of personnel, managing equipment and supplies, and coordinating all activities with the lab manager and lab owners.
How You'll Make an Impact:
- A strong candidate for this role will be a proactive energetic problem solver. This is a key role in keeping day-to-day R&D operations moving smoothly. Critical to success will be:
- Monitoring and ordering R&D supplies, reagents, consumables, etc. as needed
- Ensuring all equipment is properly maintained and calibrated
- Working with facilities and other groups to make sure the labs are clean, safe and well-maintained
- Work closely with the Lab Manager in managing day-to-day laboratory operations. Monitor, purchase, and stock lab supplies using and maintaining lists of commonly ordered items.
- Assist the Lab Manager with the calibration and preventative maintenance effort for freezers, instruments and tools used by R&D.
- Assist the Lab Manager with all equipment repairs, equipment moves and new equipment installs.
- Support R&D staff in the creation and updating of laboratory SOPs and work instructions.
- Manage on-site lab coat program.
- Proactively work with lab owners, EH&S, facilities, and other groups to resolve maintenance issues, and other building problems as they arise.
- Assist with lab clean-up efforts and lab safety lab-pack activities. Coordinate hazardous & biohazardous waste removal.
What You Bring:
- Education: Associate Degree or Diploma in a science related discipline.
- Work Experience: 5+ years of relevant industry experience working in a lab environment and familiar with common lab reagents and similar programs.
- Relevant experience in a similar role
- Knowledge of common chemicals and lab practices
- Good communication skills
- Ability to document and report results
- Organized and good work ethic

Compensation: The estimated base salary range for this position is $54,000 to $74,300 at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be provided in writing at the time of offer, if applicable, and is based on several factors we believe fairly and accurately impact compensation, including geographic location, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and other job permitted factors. This position is eligible for a variable annual bonus, which is dependent upon achievement of your individual objectives and Company performance
