Description:
A laboratory team is growing and preparing for a mega project that will begin early Fall 2024 Currently, they are adding to their Microbiology team and need laboratory support Daily responsibilities for the Laboratory Assistant look as follows:
-Receive and sort specimens
-Prepare specimens for testing and analysis
-Scan and /or data entry of specimen and patient information
-Ensure all lab equipment is working properly and perform minor instrument maintenance as needed
Troubleshoot any specimen related issues
-Replenish test bench supplies as needed
-Maintain a clean and safe work environment
-Complete record logs and other administrative duties
-Follow and implement all SOP requirements
Skills:
specimen processing, specimen labeling, specimen tracking software, laboratory, sop, pcr
DISQUALIFIER
-If someone has no lab experience, no specimen handling experience
-If someone is unable to work in a standing role or with biological specimens
-Lacking attention to detail and accuracy within a fast-paced environment
