You will receive collected specimens, track specimens and/or send out specimens for processing. You will work under the general supervision of the laboratory supervisor, by supporting the Clinical Laboratory Scientists in the performance of duties associated with the areas of the laboratory and all tasks involved in the processing and handling of specimens in the Clinical and Anatomic areas of the laboratory.

Position: Laboratory Assistant
Shift: M-F 8 hour shits between 2:00pm-10:30pm with every other weekend rotation. Holiday rotation as needed. Travel between Main Line Health sites as needed
 

This position requires you to wear a respirator as part of the job requirement.

Experience:
Working knowledge of medical information systems preferred.

Moderate knowledge of medical terminology.

Excellent verbal, written, computer and clerical skills.

Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required.

Licensures/Certifications:
Certification as a Medical Assistant or related field preferred.
