Plasman, Cleveland Manufacturing - 3000 West 121st Street, Cleveland, Ohio 44111is immediately seeking a new member to join our team as:

Lab Analyst I- 2nd Shift M-Th 2pm-12am

1. JOB TITLE DESCRIPTION:

• The Lab Analyst I is responsible for analyzing the process tanks to maintain SPC charts.

1. REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS:

• This position reports directly to: Process Engineer
• This position reports indirectly to: Process Supervisor

1. RESPONSIBILITIES AND AUTHORITIES:

The responsibilities and authorities for this position include, but are certainly not limited to:

• Assure all process tanks are at operational level before taking samples.
• Perform wet titration on process tanks per analysis schedule.
• Hand off chemical additives to Process Technician.
• Maintain SPC charts by monitoring run charts in Truchem.
• Check scrap reports for process problems, troubleshoot process line.
• Run hull cell panels for satin gloss readings.
• Takes count of chemical Inventory of lab supplies, advises Process Engineer of needed supplies, and puts incoming supplies away following 6S procedures.
• Enter in outside lab reports into Truchem.
• Alert Process Technician to perform corrective actions on process tanks.
• Maintain 6S in the laboratory.
• Communicate with previous and following Lab Analysis Technicians, Process Technicians, Machine Operators, Wastewater Treatment Operators, Supervisors, and Process Engineer. Address any problems and or get updated on ongoing problems.
• Utilize Communication Board, Logbook, and emailing system to report any important messages.
• Serves as a member of Emergency Response Team.
• Completes other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND/OR DESIGNATION REQUIREMENTS:

This position requires the following minimum education qualifications:

• High school diploma/GED
• College degree in a related science field preferred

1. MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

This position requires the following minimum work experience qualifications:

• Leadership experience or skills to provide direction to others
• Industrial lab experience or experience working with chemicals preferred
• Basic general math skills
• Strong organizational skills
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
• Strong focus and ability to adhere to safety protocols in the laboratory
• Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work independently under limited supervision
