L1MA/Housekeeping

Windemere is a residential care facility that provides a safe and pleasant home for adults with mental illness, and we strive to go beyond the norm to provide a better quality of life for our residents! Your job will be to ensure L1MA/housekeeping duties are completed in accordance with our company’s policies and regulatory guidelines. The L1MA/housekeeper must have attention to detail, be self-motivated, and energetic and be capable of adapting to the needs of the residents.

Employees must follow specific directions and schedules. Cleaning chemicals are potentially dangerous, and housekeepers must handle them properly to avoid injury. They must be thorough in their work and pay attention to details. Housekeepers need coordination skills to perform numerous duties within a specific period. Familiarity with cleaning and disinfecting materials is important to determine appropriate solutions for specific cleaning needs. Residential Care Facility housekeepers also need experience with various cleaning tools, like vacuum cleaners and washing machines. This work means being on your feet most of the day, so physical endurance is necessary.

Flexible

Daily duties include:

• • Laundry
  • Cleaning and disinfecting bathrooms
  • Replenishing supplies
  • Sweeping and mopping
  • Emptying trashcans
  • Cleaning air vents and fans
  • Dusting furnishings and horizontal surfaces
  • Disinfecting door handles, surfaces, rails, etc.
  • Proper mixing of chemicals
  • Other tasks as requested by Supervisory Staff
    • If L1MA certified, duties may also include:
    • Administering medications
    • Obtaining vital signs
      
    • Charting

• • • Monitoring and reporting changes in condition
    • Assisting with ADLs
    • Answering call lights
    • Assisting with meal passes

In 2019, Joshua and Debra Williams became the owners and operators of HRW Companies, making it a 3rd generation family-owned and operated business. Joshua grew up in the business and after they married in 2005, Debra quickly joined him. They have 5 kids, ages 5-15, who love to help at work and spend time with the residents. Their faith in God is an especially important part of their life and is what motivates them to do what they do. The majority of the individuals that they serve have limited income and nowhere else to go.
