Form of workA discreet, busy family based in Long Beach, CA, are seeking a live-out, full-time nanny for their 5-year-old and 7-month-old. The family travel regularly both domestically and internationally for work purposes and candidates must therefore be comfortable spending multiple weeks away from home throughout the year. The family will guarantee 40 hours per week and these will ideally include 1 evening per week babysitting and some time over the weekend (this may or may not be during the day or the evening - the family can flex, they’d just like to know that the candidate is comfortable helping them on weekends if required, either with time off in lieu, or paid at overtime).
Responsibilities will include pitching-in as required - be this with childcare, helping with meal and snack prep, light tidying up around the house, and generally making sure the parents feel supported and that the household is running smoothly. This is a shared care role as both mom and dad try to be as hands-on as they can be around their respective careers, so candidates must be comfortable working as a team with them, as opposed to working autonomously 100% of the time.
Candidates should be organized, proactive, hands-on, able to work alongside the parents collaboratively, flexible, and excited to travel with sometimes limited notice. Experience working for a family in the entertainment industry is a huge plus. One of the parents is vaccinated and the other isn’t, so there is no COVID vaccination requirement in order to apply for this role. The family are offering a rate of $30-$35/hr and will also consider a healthcare stipend for those candidates who require it.
