MEDICAL TECHNICIAN (MED TECH)

We are looking for:
- Someone with a “can do” attitude
- Someone who enjoys caring for others
- Someone with reliable transportation and a dependable work ethic
- Reading, writing, and basic math and verbal communication skills
- The ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Able to stand for long periods of time
- At least 18 years of age
- High School Diploma or equivalent
Med Techs are expected to accomplish tasks outside of their normal assignments whenever necessary to maintain a quality care environment for our residents. As part of a team-oriented workplace, Med Techs participate in training opportunities and offer help to other areas and staff in need. The typical work of a Med Tech can include:
- Build and maintain close relationships with residents
- Presents medication to residents and observes ingestion or other application
- Administers prescribed medication and maintains related records under the supervision of a licensed nurse
- Gives direct care to residents, such as bathing, grooming and dressing
- Assist in recording temperature, blood pressure, pulse respiration rates, food and fluid intake and output, as directed
- Assist residents with meals and snacks
- Assist with setup, service and feeding if necessary
- Housekeeping duties as necessary
- Keeps workspaces and supplies organized and ready for service
Requirements:
- Current MA license in applicable state as well as CPR certification
