AddressSweetwater, the nation's #1 online retailer of pro audio gear and musical equipment, is seeking an experienced, motivated, and friendly, customer-facing Kitchen Supervisor to join our growing in-house dining team in our Fort Wayne Distribution Center. Our Kitchen Supervisor would be responsible for supporting a team of cooks and problem-solving minute to minute operations for Sweetwater's Upbeat Diner. Job Responsibilities:
- Delegate responsibilities and guides the team with daily tasks.
- Maintain low food waste levels as the team strives to be a zero-waste kitchen.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local food handling requirements and standards.
- Collaborates closely and professionally with the Front of House and Maintenance teams.
- Sets the attendance standard for team members by being reliable for day-to-day operations and on time for their shifts.
- Identify and resolve kitchen issues and solve problems in real time.
- Maintain strong morale and positive engagement with the kitchen team.
- Lead the kitchen team with a high level of food quality and safety practices, while maintaining a clean and organized kitchen.
- Maintain stock levels and place daily food and miscellaneous orders.
- Assist and support the vision of the executive chef in all food service operations and day-to-day assignments of the kitchen.
Qualifications:
- Brings 3 to 5 years of kitchen leadership experience to the role.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office and its applications is a plus!
- Strong customer service skills in all our service areas
- Ability to develop positive interpersonal relationships while effectively communicating with multiple departments.
- Ability to develop and maintain working relationships with employees and encourages
- Collaboration through teamwork and goal setting.
- Typical work week is 9am-5pm, Monday through Friday. Need to have occasional weekend
- Availability as needed for coverage and/or special events.
