We are a vibrant and growing restaurant group, with a new restaurant opening in May 2024 that specializing in Mexican cuisine, known for our lively atmosphere and amazing flavors. We pride ourselves on creating memorable dining experiences for our guests, and our kitchen is at the heart of our operations. We're currently seeking an experienced Kitchen Manager to lead our culinary team and uphold our tradition of excellence.
Role Overview:
As our Kitchen Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of our kitchen, ensuring that every dish served meets our high standards of quality and authenticity. This position demands a passion for Mexican cuisine, a commitment to excellence, and the ability to lead and inspire a team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Culinary Leadership: Lead the kitchen team with a hands-on approach, ensuring the consistent preparation and presentation of our menu items according to established recipes and standards.
- Kitchen Operations: Manage all aspects of kitchen operations, including ordering and inventory management, equipment maintenance, and ensuring cleanliness and food safety standards are met.
- Team Management: Recruit, train, and develop kitchen staff, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and teamwork.
- Financial Management: Control kitchen costs by managing food and labor expenses, setting and achieving financial objectives.
- Quality Control: Uphold the highest standards of food quality and presentation, conducting regular tastings and adjustments as needed.
- Health and Safety: Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations within the kitchen area.
Requirements:
- Experience: At least 3 years of kitchen management experience, specifically within a Mexican cuisine setting.
- Culinary Expertise: A deep understanding and passion for Mexican cuisine, ingredients, and cooking techniques.
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and motivate a team in a high-pressure environment.
- Operational Knowledge: Familiarity with restaurant management software, inventory management, and cost control.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Certifications: Food Safety Certification is preferred. Serv Safe certificate.
