Kitchen Manager/Assistant Chef Job Responsibilities:-Directs food preparation and collaborates with executive chef.-Produces high quality plates, including both design and taste.-Assists with menu planning, inventory, and management of supplies.-Ensures that food is top quality and that kitchen is in good condition.-Keeps stations clean and complies with food safety standards.-Offers suggestions and creative ideas that can improve upon the kitchen’s performance.-Prepares food properly.-Monitors and maintains kitchen equipment.-Solves problems that arise and seizes control of issues in the kitchen.-Food cost and inventory control-Maintains standards for food storage, rotation, quality and appearance-Ensure compliance with applicable health codes and regulations-Utilizes efficient use of time in order to produce quality meals for multiple meal servicesTeam orientated.Previous chef experience not required but preferred.Salary based on experience, starting at $38,000.Insurance, 401k, PTOHours based on venues schedule of participants/guests may include days, evenings and weekends however flexible hours are guaranteed.
