Kids Room Attendant

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and caring Room Attendant to join our team. As a Room Attendant, you will be responsible for providing a safe and nurturing environment for children in our daycare facility. Your role will involve assisting with daily activities, ensuring the well-being of each child, and promoting their growth and development.

Duties:

- Supervise and engage with children in various age groups, ranging from infants to preschoolers

- Create a positive and stimulating environment that encourages learning and exploration

- Implement age-appropriate activities and educational programs to promote cognitive, physical, and social development

- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the classroom and play areas

- Monitor children's behavior and address any issues or concerns using effective behavior management techniques

- Collaborate with other staff members to ensure a cohesive and supportive team environment

Qualifications:

- Previous experience in infant care, daycare, or early childhood education is preferred

- Knowledge of first aid procedures and ability to respond to emergencies calmly and effectively

- Strong understanding of child development principles and ability to implement appropriate strategies for different age groups

- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues

- Ability to maintain a safe and clean environment while ensuring the well-being of each child

- Patience, compassion, and a genuine love for working with children

- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional certifications in early childhood education or special education are a plus

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 5 – 10 per week
